SOMETIMES I FIND IT HARD• to believe there's someone else who could be •JUST AS MESSED UP AS ME The final bell already rang. Students already began hustling to their lockers and leaving. I on the other hand was heading up to the dance studio. I peeked in the room. It was empty so I walked in and set my backpack down. I unzipped the pocket and pulled out my dance shoes. I started to take off my sweat pants and shirt to reveal a black leotard and skin colored tights. I had already changed in the bathroom before I got there so I wouldn't have to wear it all day. I slipped on my shoes and pulled my loose curls up into a bun. I took my phone out of my bag and pulled up my music app. I selected my favorite song, Dream by Priscilla Ahn. The gentle music began and with that a twirled around in my pirouette for eight counts. I ran and did a side ariel. I was thankful for my dancing ability, without it I wouldn't be at this school. I slid down into the front right splits. I cringed as my healing calf muscle stretched out. After a few minutes of stretching I sat down by my bag to rest my leg. The soft tone of Dream ended. I had a dream... I stared out of the window watching the students leave by bus or walking. I stood up and began to dance again letting the lyrics be my guide as the next song on my phone began to play.
